InkSmith Ltd. has joined the LEGO® Education family as the newest Canadian reseller. As one in only four LEGO Education resellers in Canada, InkSmith will bridge STEAM gaps in Early Learning years and in K-12 by providing several products in the LEGO® Learning System (LLS) as well as supporting professional learning sessions and student workshops. This development in the Canadian education market will help build STEAM competencies and digital skills in classrooms through play.
For the past several years, InkSmith has been empowering purpose-driven learning with 21st century technology including 3D printers, laser cutters and robotics products as well as hands-on learning services and educator-built lessons to support their implementation in the classroom. InkSmith’s engaging approach to building critical STEAM and digital skills in educators and learners is a natural alignment with LEGO Education’s philosophy around learning through play.
For more than 40 years, LEGO Education has worked with educators to deliver playful learning that brings subjects to life in the classroom while also making learning fun and impactful. LEGO Education’s range of physical and digital educational resources come together to create the LEGO Learning System, an incredible all-encompassing solution for delivering hands-on learning and inspiring interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM).
“LEGO has such a special place in our own memories as young kids and youth. Being selected to bring such an engaging and world-renowned learning tool into classrooms is an honour and privilege,” says Michelle Valtas, Head of Sales at InkSmith. “Our goal is to enable learning through play with the LLS to create impactful and memorable learning experiences for students in school. We want to give all students the opportunity to develop STEAM skills and spark a genuine interest in pursuing STEAM as a career.”
As a reseller, InkSmith brings a wealth of knowledge when it comes to building STEAM and digital skills in the classroom. InkSmith is excited to introduce the LEGO Learning System and provide support for its hardware, software, curriculum, and professional development in classrooms and schools across Canada.
